Purpose
The purpose of this Circular Letter is to inform you that the City of Delano Employee Pension Plan has entered into a reciprocity agreement with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) as of October 8, 2022.
Impacts
Your employees who have worked for the City of Delano and are currently members of CalPERS may be eligible for reciprocal benefits.
Where to Direct Employee Requests
Members may submit a request to establish reciprocity as follows:
- Log in to myCalPERS.
- Select the Retirement tab.
- Select Retirement Summary from the drop-down list.
- In the Reciprocity section, select submit a request to establish a reciprocity link.
Once the request is submitted, we’ll send the member a letter confirming receipt of their authorized request to establish reciprocity. Members can view their online requests in myCalPERS to monitor the determination status.
