Amy Deming

Head of Investment Controls & Operational Risk

Amy Deming was appointed as head of investment controls and operational risk in August 2021. She oversees investment compliance and operational risk for all of the portfolios, including the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund and the Affiliate Investment Program.

Prior to joining CalPERS, Amy spent 16 years at Allianz Global Investors, where she served as the global head of investment compliance and in other senior roles including deputy chief compliance officer.

Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and law and society from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
