Accessing Behavioral Health Benefits
The Sydney Health app provides quick access to your health plan information. With Sydney Health, you can:
- Check costs and see what your plan covers.
- Access LiveHealth Online for virtual visits with doctors or therapists.
- Find behavioral health professionals in your plan’s network.
- Connect with the CalPERS dedicated customer service team via digital chat.
The Sydney Health app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
Taking care of your mental health may mean getting professional help. If you're looking to see a behavioral health care provider in person, Anthem can help. Use the Find Care feature on the Sydney Health app or visit anthem.com/ca/calpers to find behavioral health care providers in your plan’s network. A copay applies for visits; refer to your benefit materials for details or call the number on your member ID card for assistance.
Using LiveHealth Online, Access mental health care from the comfort of your home using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. You can:
- Talk with a licensed therapist within seven days to get help with stress, depression, grief, panic attacks, and family issues.
- Consult with a board-certified psychiatrist within two weeks for medication management if you're 18 or older.
To make an appointment, visit LiveHealth Online or call 888-LiveHealth (548-3432). Medical appointments are available 24/7, while psychology and psychiatry appointments are available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific, seven days a week. A copay applies for sessions; refer to your benefit materials or call the number on your member ID card for details.
